Work is nearly finished on the new Covingham Drive pedestrian-cycle route. The top layer of surfacing is now complete, and the final jobs, such as tree planting and landscaping, are well underway. The southern half of the new route will be opened today (17 March), from the Messenger Pub to Sywell Road. Landscaping work on the northern section, up to Merlin Way, is likely to take another week.
