Residents in Rodbourne have been holding their breathe to see what is to happen with the site of the former Even Swindon Infants and Junior Schools on Rodbourne Road since the demolition of the old school buildings a few years back.
Well if the latest plans are to be believed Aldi will be expanding its Swindon retail reach into this area, along with a number of new homes that will no doubt be out of character with the rest of the local area.
With the remodelling of Bruce Street Bridges failing to make the traffic flow easier through this part of town is would be shocking if the town planners accepted these plans that would see extra traffic flow onto a road that at busy times can have traffic queuing back as far as the Outlet Village .
