Swindon Museum and Art Gallery is offering complimentary lunchtime tours of the current Landscape and Longing exhibition, showcasing a range of artworks at the Civic Offices located on Euclid Street.
The artworks are located on the Ground Floor of the Civic Offices, specifically in the inner foyer and Committee Room 3. These temporary spaces are currently in use while Swindon Museum and Art Gallery relocate to the First Floor.
During the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to discover more about the displayed artworks, including paintings, ceramics, and natural sciences collections. The exhibition explores the connection between human beings and nature, highlighting the human desire to connect with the natural world through creativity and collecting.
The exhibition also features the latest paintings added to the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery collection through the Contemporary Art Society.
Frances Yeo, Swindon Museums Manager, said: “I’m delighted that we’re able to offer such an interesting range of tours for our latest exhibition Landscape & Longing.
“The exhibition really is a ‘must see’, and the new tours will help bring to life the themes behind the exhibition, and enable visitors to focus on the stories of some of the works featured.”
