Swindon man charged over burglaries in both Wiltshire and Hampshire

A Swindon man has been arrested and formally charged in connection with a series of burglaries that occurred throughout  Wiltshire and Hampshire earlier this year.

Christopher Clarke (also known as Christopher Skriabin), 46, residing on Whitworth Road, was arrested on June 12th. He has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Burglary at a residence on Harold Road, Stubbington, on April 17th.
  • Burglary at a residence on Wicks Close, Swindon, on June 9th.
  • Attempted burglary at a residence on Wicks Close, Swindon, on June 9th.
  • Burglary at a residence on Dart Avenue, Swindon, on June 9th.

The charges are the result of investigations by Wiltshire Police’s Fortitude Swindon team and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary’s specialist Operation Hawk team.

Clarke has been remanded in custody and appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court yesterday. He was further remanded to appear at Swindon Crown Court on July 14.
