Swindon Magistrates Court is this morning cordoned off by Police with some reader reports stating there are a number of ‘bullet holes’ in its doors and windows.
We have been sent pictures that show a number of holes in the windows and doors however Wiltshire Police has so far ruled out the use of a firearm however they are continuing to investigate.

A Wiltshire Police Spokesperson has been quick to advise there is ‘no suggestion of bullet holes’ and has given us the following statement: “Officers are investigating an incident of suspected criminal damage at Swindon Magistrates Court after numerous windows were broken at the premises overnight.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious or anyone with dashcam footage taken from the area near the court building in Princes Street between 6pm yesterday (04/09) and 7am today.
“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting log 57 of today (05/09).”
