Swindon Lions Set to Light Up the Sky with Annual Fireworks Display

It’s that time of year again — the skies above Swindon are set to sparkle as the Swindon Lions Club prepare for their much-loved annual fireworks display, returning to the Polo Ground, Marlborough Road, on Saturday 1st November 2025.

This family favourite promises a night packed with entertainment, with BBC Radio Wiltshire presenters Dominic Cotter and Shaun Hodgetts compering the evening, a lively funfair, and plenty of food and refreshment stalls to keep everyone warm and fed.

Gates open at 5.00pm, giving families time to enjoy the funfair before the main fireworks display at 6.45pm sharp. As in previous years, tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available on the gate.

Your Holiday Starts Now

Tickets can be bought online via the Swindon Lions website at swindonlions.org/fireworks or from the One Stop Shop on Guildford Avenue, Lawns.

Adult tickets are £10, children (aged 5–15) £5, and family tickets (two adults and up to three paying children) £25.
Children aged four and under can attend free of charge, though a free online ticket should still be booked.

Event organisers are reminding attendees that there will be no access to the Polo Ground from Carlton Gate/Broome Manor or Coate Water — instead, visitors should use the Marlborough Road (near the Windsor Road mini-roundabout) or Downs View Road entrances.

All proceeds from the evening will go directly towards local charitable causes supported by the Swindon Lions Club, continuing their long tradition of giving back to the community.

So, wrap up warm, bring your family and friends, and prepare to see Swindon light up in a blaze of colour — all for a good cause.
