Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership assist Southampton aid company

Mike Bowden, Chairman of Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership (SHAP) visited another like-minded organisation in Southampton this week to share ideas and to assist in the loading of aid to be sent to Ukraine.
The latest delivery of aid was made possible with help from the North Cotswold Rotary Club and other Rotary clubs in the area.

The Ukraine Freedom Company, a not-for-profit company, with charitable aims, works similar to SHAP in providing humanitarian supplies that will help sustain the people of Ukraine.

Once the aid has been transported across Europe they work closely with a network of trusted Ukrainian civilians who receive and distribute the aid to those most in need in the war-torn east of their country.
Commenting on his visit to the South Coast, Mike Bowden said “on behalf of SHAP I was delighted to help our friends in Southampton from The Ukraine Freedom Company and also The Practice Plus Group Hospital to complete the loading of another 40-foot articulated truck.
“It will soon arrive in Kherson and Dnipro rammed with electricity generators, hospital beds, medical equipment, candles, and bedding.
“All this vital aid will help save lives and make a real difference to those suffering from the tragedy of war.
“I was also delighted to be given two additional hospital beds to take back to Swindon to use in our mobile field hospital bus  -which should be in use in Ukraine within a few weeks.”
