Swindon care home residents enjoy the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in style

Residents and staff at The Ridings Extra Care Scheme in Swindon, which is run by Guinness Care, celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee by inviting family members to join them at their Jubilee party.

To celebrate Her Majesty the Queen becoming the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service, Guinness funded the Platinum Jubilee celebration at the Extra Care Scheme to help bring everyone together and make it a truly special occasion.

Around 40 people attended a day of celebrations which in the morning included a royal family quiz and a pearly king and queen competition. Following a fish & chips lunch the residents and guests were entertained by a singer and enjoyed an afternoon cream tea.
