Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, the dedicated volunteer-led organisation promoting equality and diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community, has launched a comprehensive new support guide. This vital resource is designed to offer information, support, and links to LGBTQIA+ organisations, making it an indispensable tool for anyone seeking assistance or understanding.
The organisation runs a weekly Pride Hub at Regent Circus, where visitors can access resources, engage with volunteers, and learn about local LGBTQIA+ initiatives. The newly released support guide is available at the Pride Hub, in libraries, and throughout the community.
Phoenix Stewart, Community Engagement Manager, highlighted the guide’s significance: “This guide offers a wealth of information on topics such as mental health, the history of the charity, and community resources. Whether you’re an ally, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, or simply want to learn more, this guide is a valuable tool for fostering understanding and promoting acceptance.”
The release of the support guide is part of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride’s ongoing efforts to champion diversity and inclusivity within the county. It is available both as a physical copy and as a free download on the Swindon & Wiltshire Pride website. Organisations can request physical copies by emailing chair@swindonwiltshirepride.co.uk.
Paul Stewart, Chairperson of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, praised the dedication of the volunteers: “This guide is a result of our hard-working volunteers and is an essential lifeline to our community. Offering an easy and accessible way of accessing valuable information, this is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
