The Wyvern Theatre are are doing their part in helping the environment by inviting Swindonians to trade in clothes that they don’t want anymore whilst at the same time raising funds for the theatre’s Memory Café.
In the current climate, buying clothes can be expensive and also harmful to the environment. The most carbon intensive part of the life cycle of clothes is in its production, so by taking part in the clothes swap, you are helping to reduce your carbon footprint.
The event, taking place on Monday, November 7th, from 6pm at the Wyvern Theatre, will allow attendees to breathe new life into their wardrobe whilst supporting the Memory Café, a free service where those living with Dementia and their carers, friends and families can meet, talk, and join in with a variety of activities at the theatre once a month.
The Wyvern Swap Shop is asking attendees to bring along 10-20 pre-loved items of clothing or accessories that they will be able to trade.
