Supermarket opening hours for the Bank Holiday and the limit on Easter Eggs has been lifted

I’m kind of guessing you are all experts not at how many packs of loo roll or bags of pasta you can buy each time you shop but in the week that the kids will be decorating the windows with Easter pictures, they are going to be looking forward to that chocolatey treat come Sunday.

Now, chocolate might not qualify as an “essential” shopping item for some, but I’ll leave you to try explaining that to your children (or your partner) on Sunday morning!

So what are the rules about buying Easter eggs and when are the shops open over the bank holiday weekend?

Although the Wichelstowe store still has a three-product limit across many grocery items, two on toilet roll, the restrictions have not been applied to Easter confectionery.

Aldi

As well lifting all restrictions on many products including Easter Eggs, Aldi is also donating around half a million Easter eggs to vulnerable families and children.

All Aldi stores across the UK will donate up to 50 Easter Eggs each day until April 11th.
