Old Town-based Future Planning, has been announced as the headline sponsor for the highly anticipated My Dad’s Bigger Than Your Dad Festival for the second consecutive year.
The festival, now in its third year, was initially organised as a tribute to Dave Young, the former landlord of The Victoria and 12 Bar, who tragically passed away at Prospect Hospice in early June 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer.
A lineup of 16 performers, including beloved acts such as Imperial Leisure, local party band Kova Me Badd, and The Pop Punk Revolution Tour featuring three bands in one, will grace the festival’s two stages.
Local food and drink vendors will be on-site to ensure attendees remain fed and watered. Furthermore, an independent business market, a fun fair for children, and a creativity area promise to enhance the overall experience.
Future Planning, which are located on Devizes Road, specialises in providing independent financial planning and mortgage advisory services to clients both in the UK and overseas.
With a strong commitment to helping clients lead more fulfilling lives, the Future Planning team takes the time to thoroughly understand each individual’s priorities, circumstances, and future aspirations.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming festival, Sanjay Badhan, Managing Director of Future Planning, stated, “After last year’s success, we are proud to continue supporting the festival and Prospect Hospice.
“We know what a great cause this is for and also looking forward to meeting some familiar faces and having a good time. Hope to see everyone there.”
Co-organiser of the festival, Aaron Denley-Doswell, shared his excitement about the ongoing partnership with Future Planning, stating, “We are really excited to be partnering up with Future Planning for the second year running.
“To have the continued support and recognition from a local business such as theirs is so humbling. We simply cannot run this event and raise such large sums of money for Prospect Hospice without the backing of local businesses and groups.”
This year’s festival has also secured sponsorship from other notable companies, including Anytime Fitness, Leightons Opticians, and Lewis Farrant Floor Layer.
My Dad’s Bigger Than Your Dad Festival is presented in collaboration with the South Swindon Parish Council. Over the past two years, the festival has successfully raised over £24,000 in support of Prospect Hospice.
