Prepare to be captivated by the return of ‘Steve Backshall Live’ to Longleat this May half-term, marking the first appearance of the renowned naturalist and television presenter at the park in over a decade.
From Saturday 25th May until Sunday 2nd June, visitors to Longleat will have the exclusive opportunity to experience an all-new wildlife show curated by Steve Backshall himself. Tickets for this highly anticipated event are now available for purchase.
In this exhilarating show, Steve will introduce guests to some of his favourite animals, showcasing awe-inspiring birds of prey among others. With his characteristic charm and expertise, Steve will enthrall audiences with insights into the speed, stamina, and survival tactics of various creatures in the wild.
Audiences will embark on a virtual journey to the natural habitats of these animals, underscoring the importance of conservation efforts in preserving these ecosystems and safeguarding species for generations to come. The 30-minute live animal spectacle will unfold in a specially erected open-air theatre, offering an immersive experience for all attendees.
Expressing his excitement for the event, Steve Backshall said, “I can’t wait to be back at Longleat, introducing members and guests to an amazing variety of animals and birds of prey while raising much-needed funds to support the critical conservation work being done by Tusk.”
He further added, “Longleat holds a special place in my heart, and my family and I always enjoy visiting. With over 100 animal species, a magnificent historic house, and plenty of fun for kids, it truly offers something for everyone!”
Darren Beasley, Head of Animal Operations at Longleat, expressed delight at welcoming Steve back to Longleat after a decade, stating, “Steve shares Longleat’s passion for animals and wildlife conservation, and his return is a fitting highlight as we celebrate our 75th anniversary.”
Tickets for ‘Steve Backshall Live’ will also contribute to a noble cause, as proceeds from a £1 booking fee will be donated to Tusk, a UK-based charity dedicated to conservation efforts in Africa.
