Christmas has arrived at Stourhead, and the historic gardens are dazzling visitors with their most enchanting festive light trail yet. Running nightly until 1st January, this year’s event which boasts an array of new installations alongside returning favourites is a spectacular winter wonderland, perfect for families, friends, and festive explorers.
Among this years highlights are the Sea of Light by ITHACA Studio, an immersive display featuring thousands of LED light balls pulsing in harmony with a bespoke soundtrack and Light a Wish by OGE Design Group, which brings the magic of dandelion seeds floating through the air to life, evoking a sense of childlike wonder.
For those visitors seeking a showstopping display, the five metre towering Snowflake Show by Scot Gianelli which features sparkling snowflakes dance to festive melodies, casting a mesmerising glow across the grand gardens, is a must-see.
The magic doesn’t end there, with the famous shimmering tunnels of light, vibrant woodland scenes, and Stourhead’s iconic lakeside illuminated by over a million twinkling lights.
Visitors may even be able to spot Father Christmas who will making surprise appearances along the trail, much to the delight of younger guests.
