Two of Swindon’s most popular entertainment venues have announced that they will finally be reopening after a long Covid enforced closusre.
The Wyvern will be reopening the auditorium on Thursday 26th August 2021 for a sold-out night with Russell Brand and Wednesday 1st September will see the return of an audience to the Arts Centre with Swindon Film Society.
A spokesperson for the Swindon venues said ‘the extended closure period has been an enormous challenge; but we have some fantastic shows in the diary for the autumn and beyond, including our GIANT pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.’
‘Now is the time for people to secure tickets, to give themselves and their families something to look forward to; and to enjoy the unique thrill of live entertainment again.’
Productions that have been scheduled include:
- September 3rd – Total 90’s – Total 90’s crams all that was good and great from the pop charts of the decade into a unique high energy experience.
- October 7th – Emily Atack: Has left the group – Emily Atack is back with a brand-spanking-new show.
- December 4th – January 2nd – PANTO!! – Jack and the Beanstalk
