In this week’s edition of Sir Robert’s Local Charity of the Week, he shines a spotlight on Felix Fund, a remarkable military charity that provides crucial welfare support and financial assistance to serving personnel, veterans, and their dependents.
This includes individuals from the military and SO15 (Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Unit) who have conducted or assisted with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Search duties.
Felix Fund goes above and beyond in its mission to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have served and sacrificed for our country. The support they offer is diverse and far-reaching, catering to the unique needs of each individual. From providing hydrotherapy treatment for a former soldier grappling with PTSD and sleep deprivation to supplying a specially adapted buggy for the disabled son of a serving soldier, Felix Fund consistently demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the well-being and quality of life of those it serves.
One example of the charity’s dedication to making a difference is its provision of sporting equipment for two former sappers, enabling them to train for and compete in the prestigious Invictus Games. By empowering individuals to pursue their passions and overcome challenges, Felix Fund helps to restore confidence, foster resilience, and inspire a sense of achievement.
