Sir Robert Buckland MP’s Initiative: Bridging the Digital Divide through Laptops for Local Schools and Charities

Sir Robert Buckland MP continues to champion local charity support through his impactful initiative, the Laptops for Local Schools and Charities Scheme, which was launched in January 2021.

This green scheme has proven to be a success, thanks to the generosity of numerous local residents and businesses in Swindon, who have collectively donated hundreds of laptops to children, families, and charities in need.

The MP has expressed deep gratitude to the local community for their unwavering support, acknowledging the significant contributions from businesses like Nationwide, which recently donated £2,000 towards the scheme.

Special recognition is also extended to the dedicated teams at SP Computers and Excalibur, who have played a crucial role in repairing and reconditioning numerous devices as part of this initiative.

Sir Robert Buckland encourages anyone with unused or unwanted laptops at home to consider contributing to this ongoing scheme. Donations can make a real difference in bridging the digital gap for local schools, charities, and their service users.
