Sheer Joy Music, based in Runcorn, Cheshire, is making waves in the community by spearheading a fundraising effort for Swindon’s Prospect Hospice.
The fundraising initiative revolves around the sale of a CD compilation titled “Love Songs Of The Heart,” dedicated to the memory of the late Richard M S Irwin, who passed away at the hospice last December.
Richard Irwin, a gifted composer, collaborated with his friend Colin Gordon-Farleigh to produce the tracks featured on the CD. All the lyrics were penned by Colin, while the music for four tracks was contributed by USA composer Greg Scheer, and the remaining track was composed by Richard Irwin himself. Richard meticulously arranged and performed the songs for the talented singer, Victoria Paterson, hailing from Surrey.
The CD serves as a tribute to Richard’s extraordinary talent, with all proceeds pledged to Prospect Hospice. This local charity plays a vital role in offering care and support to individuals grappling with life-limiting illnesses and their families. “Love Songs Of The Heart” is now available for download on Spotify and all major digital music platforms. Alternatively, you can purchase the CD for £7.50, inclusive of postage and packaging, by reaching out via email to colin@sheerjoymusic.com.
Expressing gratitude for the initiative, Sheryl Crouch, head of income at Prospect Hospice, remarked, “Every year, Prospect Hospice extends its support to hundreds of families across Swindon and the surrounding areas, guiding them through one of life’s toughest journeys.
“We deeply appreciate Colin and Sheer Joy Music for their dedication in organising this event.” The funds generated will significantly contribute to Prospect Hospice’s mission of providing essential services, including the Inpatient Unit and Prospect@Home care service.
