The Youth Adventure Trust has announced the incredible news of the succesful second annual Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge, which surpassed its fundraising goal by a staggering £3,679, reaching an astounding total of £15,679!
On Saturday 8th June, 152 brave souls, including families, friends, colleagues, and furry companions, united to conquer three iconic peaks of Wiltshire, with Milk Hill, the county’s highest point, among them.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels embraced the challenge, traversing either a 10K or half marathon route through stunning landscapes to support vulnerable young people with tailored outdoor adventures and one-to-one support. This remarkable achievement will finance the attendance of 28 youngsters at The Youth Adventure Trusts 6-day resilience-building Mountain Camp this summer.
The event not only showcased Wiltshire’s natural splendor but also underscored the resilience and generosity of its participants. It epitomised the Youth Adventure Trust’s ethos of outdoor exploration and surpassing expectations while positively impacting the lives of vulnerable young people. By raising such a substantial sum, participants are empowering youths like Katie, aged 13, who shared her transformative experience: “The biggest difference I have noticed is how resilient I am. I am more positive now and I keep on trying at things.”
The Youth Adventure Trust extends heartfelt gratitude to Beard Construction for their generous sponsorship of the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Jamie Harwood, Director of Beard, expressed his delight: “We were delighted to sponsor this well-organised event. It was fantastic for the Beard Team to take part, hiking together, getting to know each other, and raising money for such a great charity. We’re really looking forward to supporting future events with the Youth Adventure Trust as our relationship continues to evolve.”
Thanks also go to Tesco and Waitrose in Marlborough for providing delicious refreshments, the 152 participants for their outstanding fundraising efforts, and the incredible volunteers for their unwavering dedication.
The Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge not only provided an extraordinary adventure but also paved the way for vulnerable young people to access life-changing opportunities.
