Swindon serviced offices Rombourne has stepped up to help one of its clients by running a fundraising cake sale.
The Rombourne team ran the cake and bake event to support Sarah Hawes, who is taking part in a sponsored stepathon. Every day during March, Sarah – a digital analyst with the Inchcape pricing team, who are based at Rombourne – has pledged to complete at least 10,000 steps, all in aid of Cancer Research UK.
“It’s surprisingly difficult to do 10,000 steps a day when you have a desk job,” said Sarah. “In fact, I heard about the challenge while I was sitting at my desk and I decided I needed to get moving. My boss is fully in support of it, so to make sure I complete my steps I go for a short walk every so often.”
Shelley Godwin, one of Rombourne’s team of receptionists, organised the cake sale to boost the fundraising Sarah is doing. Many of the cakes were homemade, with prizes awarded for the best bakes.
Danielle Mottram, Rombourne Centre Manager, said: “We think Sarah’s fundraising is a great idea and we wanted to support her, so Shelley organised the cake sale. We like to get involved and help our clients with activities like this and we wish Sarah luck in completing the step challenge.”
Inchcape is one of many clients at Rombourne, based at Kingstone House near junction 16 of the M4. The centre has a range of offices to suit different sized businesses; for more information visit https://www.rombourne.co.uk/ or email Danielle on dmottram@rombourne.co.uk.
