Swindon residents may not be aware how easy it is to report problems to the council as soon as they are spotted.
Fix My Street allows users to report a wide range of problems affecting local streets – from fly-tipping and broken paving slabs, to street lighting and potholes – direct from your mobile phones.
To date the Fix My Street service has forwarded on over 2100 reports from local residents including fly-tipping and abandoned cars with around 1500 of these reports still open.
The website is designed specifically to support use from mobile devices as well as computers. Once an issue is reported, the relevant department in the council will be notified and will be able to deal with it swiftly, prioritising potential safety issues first and foremost.
Absolutely sick to death of town centre shoppers parking on double yellow lines because they cannot be bothered to park in designated car parks. Never see any traffic wardens and these people should not get away with it. This is a daily occurrence and I can count this happening at least 10 times on a Saturday. This car was parked here for a minimum of 3 hours. Saw this car as I was going out and then when I came back home. I live just next to this street and feel sorry for the people that actually pay for parking or parking permits which are very costly when you get these absolute stingy morons who get away with parking like this. Please sort this out.

The system allows residents to keep track of the issues they have reported using an interactive map of the borough.
Report it as soon as you see it!
One local user, Pete B, who brought this service to our attention said “residents can report problems as soon as they see them and upload a picture to show them the issue. The council should be keeping streets clean and safe.”
