Rent-to-buy retailer BrightHouse set to ‘enter administration’

BrightHouse, the UK’s largest ‘rent-to-own’ retailer offering pay-per-week deals on a host of household items is on the verge of going into administration.

According to reports, the retailer, which has been struggling in recent years, will appoint Grant Thornton as administrators and will put 2,400 jobs, nationwide, at risk.

Customers who are currently paying for products bought via BrightHouse will have to continue to do so as the administrators are likely to oversee the payments in the short-term before the loans are sold on to another lender.
