Renewed Appeal for Witnesses Following Swindon Stabbing

Police officers conducting an investigation into a stabbing incident in Westmead, Swindon, are once again appealing for information and witnesses to come forward.

The incident occurred just before 6 pm yesterday, where two teenagers were assaulted on a cycle path leading from Westmead Industrial Estate to Shaw Forest Park.

One of the boys sustained knife wounds, which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. He is currently receiving treatment at the hospital for his injuries.

The other teenager suffered facial injuries as a result of being hit during the incident. He was also treated in the hospital.

To aid in the investigation, neighbourhood teams from Stratton, Central Swindon North, and West Swindon have teamed up with response officers to conduct additional patrols in the area.

A cordon is currently in place at the scene of the incident, and it will be lifted as soon as possible once the necessary investigations are completed.

Supt Joe Saunders, from Swindon Police, expressed concern about the incident, as two young individuals were injured. He urged anyone with information that could be relevant to the case to come forward immediately.

“You may see more police officers in the area as we continue to investigate what happened and to offer some reassurance to people living locally. Please, if you do know something, talk to those officers.”
