Upham Road is undergoing vital work this summer to improve it’s condition. Unfortunately this has been delayed by approximately two weeks due to the incredibly hot weather causing some areas of the new concrete to crack meaning it has had to be replaced. The team are now pouring the concrete in the morning during the cooler temperatures and spraying the surface with water. We anticipate finishing this phase of work on Monday, 13 August when Phase 2 will start.
The bus gate remains suspended for the duration of the work and the K4 bus service is in place with additional stops added. The service will be running Monday to Saturday at 9.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3,30pm stopping at Burford Avenue, Drove Road, Central library and the Town Centre.
