Two men in their 30’s from Reading were arrested in Ferndale Road on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug after a routine vehicle stop of a BMW on Thursday evening.
At approximately 7.45pm on Thursday, September 3rd, officers conducted a routine vehicle stop of a BMW following which both men were arrested. They have since been released under investigation.
Acting Inspector Georgina Romani said: “This was another good result for the local policing team as we continue to target and disrupt drug dealing in the area.
“The Stratton, Central North and West neighbourhood team will be working with the community tasking team and members of our special constabulary this weekend to continue our high visibility patrols in the Pinehurst and Penhill area.
“These patrols have been well received by the local community and we are seeing some significant progress as a result.
“It is important that we ensure the local community feel safe and would always welcome their requests for any areas they feel we should be targeting during our weekend patrols.
“We rely on their support and the information they provide. If you have any information regarding this type of illegal activity in your area, you can contact us via www. wiltshire.police.uk/Report_a_crime or call 101.
