Not only was the fete a day of enjoyment, but it also played a crucial role in raising funds for Prospect Hospice, which provides specialised care for local individuals and families facing life-limiting conditions. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and the popularity of tombolas and raffles, the event raised an impressive £15,037—the highest amount ever collected at the fete.

Debbie Robson, Prospect@Home team leader, expressed her appreciation, stating, “The garden fete is always a heartwarming event. It’s wonderful to see our community come together like this, showing such support and love for the hospice. The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.”

Local resident Sheila Harris shared her enthusiasm, saying, “I had a lovely time at the garden fete. The atmosphere was so lively, and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves for such an important charity. The hospice does incredible work, and it’s wonderful to be able to contribute while having fun.”

Jeremy Lune, Chief Executive of Prospect Hospice, conveyed his heartfelt thanks to all involved: “The garden fete was an incredible event, made possible by the dedication of our volunteers, supporters, and local businesses. Thank you so much. It was wonderful to see so many people come together in support of our work.”
