The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an urgent recall on a number of chicken products sold in B&M and Sainsbury’s after salmonella was found to be present.
The recall notices have been issued for certain packets of 32 jumbo chicken nuggets from Chicken Inn, SFC Chicken Poppets and Take Home Boneless Bucket produced by Vestey Foods.
The Chick Inn 32 Jumbo Chicken Nuggets, with an expiry date of January 2022 and a packet size of 650g was sold locally through bargain store B&M.
The FSA said: “Vestey Foods is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.
“If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”
A recall notice has also been issued for SFC Chicken Poppets and Take Home Boneless buckets sold at Sainsbury’s, again because salmonella has been found in the products.
