A community drop in surgery is to be held in Walcot later this month to give a chance for residents to speak to the police.
The South Central Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding informal community consultation meetings, where residents are invited to come and discuss any issues they may have.
The event has been organised following a recent break in at the Walcot Community Shop and an increase in anti-social behaviour around Sussex Place.
South Swindon MP, Robert Buckland has been working closely the Walcot and Park North Campaigner, Agnelo Estrocio, Swindon Police, local Walcot businesses, and residents to try and tackle these issues.
Following the break in Swindon Police have stepped up patrols in the area and visited local business to provide support, advice and reassurance.
The two-hour long drop in event is a chance for residents to come in and discuss things with police, whether it is something sensitive, concerns, intelligence reports, there is plenty.
The surgery will take place at the Co-op in Sussex Square on Friday 20th May between 10:00 – 12:00
