Police are appealing for public assistance in identifying two individuals following a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian on Queens Drive last month.
The incident occurred on 25th May at approximately 3.20am when a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the road. The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.
Officers are seeking a male and female who may have interacted with the injured pedestrian shortly before the collision.
The female is described as wearing a knee-length, light-coloured coat, possibly camel, with a hood, and carrying a dark backpack. The male is around 6ft tall, of slim build, wearing a waist-length dark jacket and jeans or dark trousers, also carrying a dark backpack. Both were walking towards the town centre along the path and are believed to have had a brief verbal exchange with the pedestrian.
Despite the photo provided being of poor quality, it is hoped that the individuals involved will recognise themselves and come forward.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Tucker from the Serious Collision Investigation Team said, “We urge anyone who might have seen these individuals or recognises the descriptions to come forward. Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial in our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597, quoting log 37 of 25th May. Alternatively, the team can be reached directly via email at SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk.
