Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in Swindon between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 13th May.
Three youths were riding their bikes on a footpath which crosses over Ocotal Way, behind Penny Lane and the Carshop, and emerges at a subway which goes under Drakes Way and on to Marlow Avenue.
When they reached the play park in Wheatcroft Way one of the youths was pushed off the bike by a white male, aged around 14 to 15 years old with short brown hair. The male then stamped on the youth’s wrist causing further injury to his already broken hand. The male was with seven other males of a similar age.
A 13 year old local boy was arrested in relation to this and has since been released under investigation.
Detective Constable Snezhannah Lennon said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area around this time. Did you see a group of youths in this area or the boys riding around this area? We’d especially like to hear from a member of the public who was passing by on a bike and who was asked by the victim for help and who wiped blood off the injured boy’s face.”
If you can help with the enquiries please contact the police on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
