Swindon police have made an appeal this afternoon for a suspect, Matthew Pearce, to hand himself in for questioning about a crime he may or may not have committed.
This appeal didn’t come from the usual press office of Wiltshire Police HQ however as the police has the suspects mobile phone which was left unlocked and logged in to his Facebook account.
Although this type of appeal would probably be more successful than the usual press releases, unfortunately this post is fake and the picture is actually of a group of Sussex police officers stuck in a lift in Brighton.
Looks like someone is trying to wind up Matthew (maybe lock your phone next time).
