Persimmon Homes has announced the appointment of Rochelle Theaker as the new Finance Director for its Wessex business, marking another step forward in her career with the leading housebuilder.
Based in Malmesbury, Persimmon Wessex oversees developments across Didcot, Swindon, Warminster, Frome, and Chippenham. In her new role, Rochelle will take charge of the company’s financial operations, managing budgets, cash flow, forecasting, and strategic planning to support the region’s continued growth.
Rochelle’s journey with Persimmon began in October 2021, when she joined as Finance Manager for East Wales. She quickly progressed to Regional Finance Manager, overseeing both East and West Wales, before transitioning to the Wessex business in September 2023. Now, as Finance Director, she will bring her expertise in financial management to the helm of the region’s operations.
A Chartered Certified Accountant with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Rochelle’s career has also included a spell with L’Oréal UKI in Cardiff, where she worked across treasury and financial accounting.
Speaking about her new role, Rochelle said: “I’m delighted to step into this position at Persimmon Homes Wessex. The company has provided fantastic opportunities for growth, along with invaluable training and mentorship.
“The construction industry is fast-paced and brings exposure to large-scale projects, along with the financial challenges that come with them. It’s rewarding to see how financial decisions directly shape the company’s performance.
“I enjoy the variety that comes with working in finance – every day presents a new challenge, whether it’s forecasting, problem-solving, or financial planning. I look forward to continuing to work closely with the management team to help drive the business forward.”
Seb Spiller, Deputy Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Wessex, welcomed Rochelle’s promotion, adding: “It’s fantastic to see Rochelle take on this role. She has made a significant impact since joining the Wessex team, and I have no doubt she will continue to thrive in her new position.”
