Rail passengers planning on travelling this Christmas Eve are being urged to complete their journeys as early as lunchtime due to disruption caused by the strikes.
Unless called off, the industrial action is set to from 6pm on Christmas Eve until 6am on December 27th.

National Rail are saying ‘Due to industrial action, there will be significantly reduced services across the rail network on Christmas Eve. Only travel if absolutely necessary on Saturday 24th December.
‘Trains will be busier and finish around 15:00, with last trains departing much earlier.
‘There will be no services at all in some places.
‘If you are travelling, please plan ahead and check that your entire journey is possible. If possible, consider travelling on another day.’
Great Western Railway is urging customers to only travel on Christmas Eve if it is “absolutely necessary”.
The RAC are also warning the disruption to rail services may lead to an even bigger spike in traffic on Britain’s roads on Christmas Eve as millions of people make getaway journeys.
