Wiltshire Police has charged a man with vehicle interference after an incident on farmland near Blunsdon this week.
20-year-old Kaden Hills, of Redruth Close, Park North, was arrested on August 3rd following reports of him engaging in suspicious activities on the farm.
Witnesses called police after observing him climbing on diggers and inspecting fuel tanks on the farmland and after a brief investigation, Kaden Hills was arrested later that evening.
He has since been granted bail and is scheduled to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on September 5th to address the charges against him.
PC Warren Johnston, speaking on behalf of Wiltshire Police, expressed the seriousness of the matter and highlighted the significance of community involvement in tackling similar offences saying: “Thefts from local agricultural machinery are prevalent at the moment and we encourage members of the rural community to report these offences and work with us to tackle the offenders.”
