A man has been charged following a robbery in Swindon.
Paul Tony Warren, 24, of Victoria Road, Old Town, has been charged with section 18 GBH and robbery following the incident, which is believed to have taken place in the Meadowcroft area late on Thursday night or in the early hours of Friday morning.
The victim, a man in his 50s, remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Warren has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning.
