A further nine people who tested positive for coronavirus in Swindon have died, the latest NHS England figures show.
This latest updated means there have now been 39 coronavirus-related deaths at The Great Western Hospital following the latest increase, Swindon’s highest daily figure yet.
The families of the latest fatalities have been informed, NHS England said.
The total number of deaths recorded in England over the last 24 hours, testing positive for coronavirus is 657.
The figure does not include deaths outside of hospitals, such as in care homes or in the community.
The total figure for the UK is 710 people have died after contracting coronavirus, bringing the UK death toll to at least 10,585.
This includes 657 deaths in England. 24 in Scotland, 18 in Wales and 11 more people have lost their lives in Northern Ireland.
