The experts behind a new high-street travel agency in Swindon are gearing up for ambitious growth across the UK. Swindon Travel Hub, led by Directors Shaun Jones and Ashley Hunt, is set to launch its inaugural retail outlet later this month.
Swindon Travel Hub’s transition from a successful online travel agency to a high street-based offering marks a significant evolution in its business model. Building on their digital presence, the move to a physical retail outlet allows them to offer a more personalised and engaging customer experience.
Renovations on the new premises located just off Devizes Road, next to The Hop pub. in Old Town began in June, with the opening scheduled for later this month.
Ashley Hunt, former global head of trading for Imagine Cruising, shared his enthusiasm for the venture, stating, “Initially, we’ll launch with a small team, but we fully intend to scale up based on demand.”
Hunt, along with fellow director Shaun Jones, envisions Swindon Travel Hub as the first in a series of outlets across the UK. “While we can’t disclose all our unique strategies just yet, we can assure you that we do not intend to be just another ‘normal’ travel agency,” Hunt emphasised. “Our goal is for customers to have fun, get excited for their next adventure, and feel like their holiday begins the moment they step through our doors.”
In a move to embed themselves in the local community, Swindon Travel Hub has sponsored this year’s Christmas pantomime, Cinderella, at The Wyvern Theatre. Shaun Jones expressed his delight, saying, “I absolutely love panto – it’s such a brilliant part of the festive season, full of laughter, fun, and great for the whole family. Supporting this fantastic tradition is our way of giving back and spreading some holiday magic. I can’t wait to join everyone for a good laugh and some festive cheer.”
By blending their online success with a tangible, in-person service, Swindon Travel Hub aims to enhance its brand presence and cater to a broader audience, while continuing to deliver exceptional travel experiences.
As the countdown to the opening begins, Swindon residents can look forward to a new and exciting player in the travel industry.
