A new pupil drop-off road for Orchid Vale Primary School was opened on Thursday, 7 September to address safety concerns identified along this stretch of Torun Way. The school will also be supplemented by the provision of a new Zebra crossing & parking lay-by.
Parents are now able to drop off their children along the dedicated one-way road, away from traffic and parked cars on Torun Way. Parking and waiting restrictions have been applied to the drop-off road to ensure its efficient operation during the busy morning/afternoon rush hour.
The Council’s design and construction teams were praised by ward councillors for delivering the scheme during the school summer holiday period.
