Swindonian readers have been reporting receiving text messages fro Nationwide Building Society this week confirming a new payee has been added to their accounts.
This afternoon the Swindon based building society have taken to social media to confirm the text is in fact a scam and asking those that receive the text not to click the lik within the text message.
‘This is an example of one of the texts that fraudsters are currently sending out, please don’t click on the link. We’ll never ask you to update your details or log into the Internet Bank through a link in a text’
