McDonald’s home delivery is finally coming to the UK this June.
After years of waiting and hoping this day would come, The Telegraph has reported that McDonald’s is now aiming to roll out a trial of home delivery across the UK this June.
McDonald’s UK chief executive Paul Pomroy explained that they plan to start small with a trial at a few branches, learning, and then quickly scaling up to McDonald’s all over the UK.
Delivery will likely be carried out by an external company, such as Deliveroo or Uber Eats.
It is planned to go along with the large-scale launch of McDonald’s app, which allows people to check in to McDonald’s on their phone and have their order delivered to their table. It is currently trialling in 22 UK stores but this will also roll out to 900 this summer.
