McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon has announced a new egg-citing family activity has launched at the centre just in time for the April bank holiday.
The Giant Swindon Egg Hunt is taking place at the Swindon Designer Outlet from now until the 21st, featuring a selection of giant, local-themed easter eggs.
A total of five eggs have been scattered around the centre, with three of the eggs having elements provided by local artist Dona B Drawings – known across the region for her illustrations of buildings and holiday destinations.
Dona designed concepts for each of the three eggs with Swindon heritage in mind featuring the Great Western Railway works, Lydiard House and the Swindon Supermarine factory.
The remaining two eggs were designed in partnership with Swindon Designer Outlet’s 2023 charity partner, Prospect Hospice, and Even Swindon Primary School.
Guests keen to get involved with the egg hunt are invited to head over to the centre and collect an activity sheet from the Guest Services desk. Once all five eggs are identified, participants are encouraged to return their completed activity sheet to the Guest Services desk in return for a delightful Easter treat.
For anyone interested in taking one of the five bespoke Easter eggs home, a charitable auction will take place in the aftermath of the Giant Swindon Egg Hunt. Art lovers will be able to snag one of four eggs on auction, with all funds going to the centre’s charity partner, Prospect Hospice, who will also display the fifth easter egg in their memorial garden.
