Mane Attraction: Longleat Lionesses Join in Top Trumps Fun for October Half Term

Lionesses at Longleat Safari Park have been getting into the spirit of play ahead of Great British Autumn (25 October – 2 November), as the Wiltshire estate prepares to host its first-ever Top Trumps Trail.

In a surprising twist, Longleat’s pride of lions were spotted investigating the Top Trumps selfie stand, checking out their very own “roar scores” – just like guests will be able to do during the event.

Families visiting during October Half Term can follow a giant Top Trumps Trail around the park, hunting down six oversized cards featuring Longleat’s famous residents. Each card reveals fascinating facts about the animals, including weight, conservation status, and of course their Top Trumps ratings.

Those who complete the trail will win an exclusive limited-edition Top Trumps card, designed to be added to the official Longleat Top Trumps Pack (sold separately).

Alongside the trail, the Great British Autumn programme will feature:

  • Live animal talks on a 360° stage

  • Bird of prey demonstrations

  • Family activities including ride-on tractors, wooden skittles, willow weaving and craft stations

  • Special Top Trumps Game Stations and design-your-own-card activities

Scott Ashman, Head of Operations at Longleat, said:

“Great British Autumn is always a guest favourite, and partnering with Top Trumps this year adds an extra fun twist. With the trail, live talks, crafts and beautiful autumn scenery, there’s something for all ages to enjoy.”

The event promises a mix of education, hands-on fun and seasonal atmosphere, making Longleat a must-visit destination for October Half Term.
