A man is due in court today charged in connection with a serious assault in Swindon yesterday.
Lee James Milne, 30, of Whitehead Street, Swindon, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court at some point today.
It relates to an incident in The Parade at around 3pm yesterday where a man in his 30s suffered a serious neck injury.
The victim remains in hospital but his condition is described as stable.
