A man has been charged with wounding with intent following an incident on Thames Avenue on Tuesday morning that has left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
Lewis Butterfield, 28, of White Eagle Road, Haydon End, Swindon, appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning and has been remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Crown Court on Friday 11 June.
The victim remains in critical condition at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with a head injury.
