Police have confirmed that they have arrested a man in connection with the damage to Swindon Magistrates Court overnight.
This morning we were advised by readers that the area had been cordoned off by Police with some reports stating there are a number of ‘bullet holes’ in its doors and windows.

Not wanting to speculate on the cause of the damage a police spokesperson has said: “The circumstances and method of how the windows were broken will form part of the investigation.”
“We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious or anyone with dashcam footage taken from the area near the court building in Princes Street between 6pm yesterday (04/09) and 7am today.
Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting log 57 of today (05/09).”
