Motorists are being reminded that the M4 motorway will be closed between Chieveley and Theale in both directions between junction 12 and junction 13 this weekend affecting those heading to Reading and London.
The road will shut from 10pm tonight and reopen at 5am on Monday.
This is the first of four weekend closures with others planned for:
- Friday 8th to Monday 11th December 2017
- Friday 15th to Monday 18th December 2017
- Friday 12th to Monday 15th January 2018
Highways England have advised the work is part of a project to refurbish three bridges that carry the motorway over local roads near Hermitage in West Berkshire.
There will be fully signed diversions in place, but delays are expected.
