The M4 motorway will be closing for four full weekends Eastbound in the run up to Christmas to allow for essential bridge maintenance work.
Motorists from Swindon heading towards London are being warned that the motorway will be closed in both directions between junction 13 for Newbury and junction 12 Reading with diversions in place.
The first weekend the motorway will be closed is from 10pm on November 24th through to until 5am on Monday November 27th.
Further closures are planned over the following weekends as the work is completed:
- Friday 8th to Monday 11th December 2017
- Friday 15th to Monday 18th December 2017
- Friday 12th to Monday 15th January 2018
Motorists are advised to plan ahead.
