Love Island 2018 applications are now open

Love Island 2018 applications are now open to singletons hoping to take part in this year’s show.

ITV2 are now accepting applications on their site for a new group of vibrant singletons for their summer series of the hit reality TV show.

As long as you are over 18, are not employed by ITV, have a valid passport, are available for at least ten weeks across May 2018 and can apply before 30th April 2018, you are eligible to apply via the application form here.

An astonishing 80,000 people who had loved the 2017 series actually tried to apply for the 2018 series after the show ended but applications were not being accepted then.

The last series attracted a peak of 2.9 million viewers, with 1.7 million watching on average across the seven weeks.

Now ITV are asking if potentials are available for at least ten weeks – showing they’re answering fans’ calls by extending the series.

It’s not yet known whether the same villa will be used or, indeed, whether singletons will be flown to Mallorca again.

The winning couple of Love Island wins £100,000 and has to either split it between them or opt to take it all, leaving the other with nothing.

Sadly, while the winners of 2017, Kem and Amber decided to split the money and seemed happy, they split at the start of December – though couples Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood, Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, and Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville are still going.
