Longleat has been named one of the happiest places in the world to visit this summer, according to the British Happy Holidays Index published by AttractionTickets.com.
The Wiltshire estate was ranked in the top 20 destinations worldwide, alongside iconic locations such as Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Niagara Falls in Canada, and Times Square in New York.
The index analysed six factors – including glowing reviews containing words like happy, perfect and magic – to discover where travellers experienced the most joy.
Oliver Brendon, CEO of AttractionTickets.com, said:
“This index shows that happiness on holiday comes from a combination of factors. While sunshine plays a role, it’s the emotional resonance of places that truly makes them unforgettable.”
Longleat COO Simon Askew said:
“This is one of the best accolades we could get. Creating special memories that last a lifetime is at the heart of everything we do, and our teams go above and beyond to make sure every guest has the best possible day out.”
Head of Operations, Scott Ashman, added:
“We’re proud that families recognise the value of our tickets, which include all the main attractions on site and free parking too. From feeding giraffes and lorikeets to enjoying our world-famous Safari Park, our aim is to deliver unforgettable experiences.”
The accolade comes just weeks after Longleat was recognised by Tripadvisor as being among the top 10% of attractions worldwide, having received a Travellers’ Choice Award 2025.
