Swindon motorists are being given the chance to get up close with one of Volvo’s most talked-about new models as the EX30 Cross Country makes its way to the town.
Volvo Cars Swindon, based on Great Western Hill, has brought in the brand-new electric SUV, which blends the compact style of the EX30 with tougher touches designed for life beyond city streets.
The Cross Country sits higher on its suspension than the standard model, making it better equipped for country tracks, muddy lanes or even snowy commutes, while still being perfectly at home around town. An optional set of 18-inch all-terrain tyres adds to its off-road appeal.
With a range of up to 427km on a single charge, zero tailpipe emissions, and a rapid recharge that can take the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in under half an hour, it is also part of Volvo’s broader push towards becoming a fully electric brand by 2040.
Priced from £45,560, the SUV is now available to view at the dealership, with staff on hand to talk drivers through the technology and options. Local customers can also take advantage of a £1,500 grant on all EX30 models, recently introduced as part of Volvo’s electric vehicle scheme.
Luke Rodriguez, General Manager at Volvo Cars Swindon, said:
“We’re excited to showcase the EX30 Cross Country and welcome local drivers for a first look. It combines Volvo’s trademark safety and design with a rugged practicality that’s perfect for both town and countryside.”
Anyone keen to see the car for themselves can drop by the Swindon showroom or book a private viewing slot with a Volvo specialist.
